Lechuguilla
Agave lechuguillaLechuguilla is a shrub native to Central Texas that grows 1–2 ft tall and 3 ft wide. It wants full sun and low water, and handles caliche soil. Blooms white, pink and yellow in May–Jul. Evergreen — it holds its leaves through winter. Good for bees, butterflies, beetles, hummingbirds and moths.
Caution — people, livestock. Terminal spine causes puncture injuries; sap is a skin irritant.
